Directory of Immigrant Serving Agencies

The Directory of Immigrant-Serving Agencies contains information on agencies offering low-cost or free social services to immigrants in over 50 languages. The directory presently lists over 200 agencies, primarily those agencies offering services within Queens. However, agencies outside Queens are listed when an ethnic or language group of significant size is not specifically targeted by a Queens agency. The services of the agencies outside Queens are still accessible from Queens by telephone, mail or online communication.

The City’s most ethnically diverse borough, Queens is a place in which people of more than 160 nationalities work toward common goals. Queens Library’s New Americans Program (NAP) was established in 1977 to provide special services to the area’s many new immigrants.
